I like to subscribe to Facebook posts of certain car ads because I love seeing a community smack sense into folks who’s cars are overpriced, underpriced, rice, etc. This old guy has no time for Honda engine codes.
Full disclosure: this guy wanted $10k for this 2 weeks ago and got ripped apart by folks (this is truck country...) who made fun of it, its owner, and price tag. It was an entertaining read when the seller enlisted more of his Fast and Furious clown friends to defend him. So when I saw this again for sale this morning for a much more reasonable price ($1500, or $1400 then I’d offer) I knew I had to subscribe to the new ad.

Yeah, the guy writing an ad is an idiot, everyone knows that when you have that many mods you just write “Too many mods to list”. The words that start all potential modded civic buyers salivating.
P.S. That old guy is an asshole, not a hero. I really hope I can maintain my mental flexibility into my own old age. At 30 it’s starting to get tough, it’s the kids these days I tell you!

I love that he includes in the description something that was stolen out of the car before it was hooked up (the NOS). Like that somehow adds value... Bruh: if it’s not in the car, um, don’t list it.

I’m approaching 30 and thinking the same thing. The seller included a bunch of pictures and of course the car looks like some Fast&Furious: Trailer Park reject I’m not sure why Gramps didn’t just keep on scrolling

The effort spent asking “what the fuck those codes mean” could have been spent on Google. Those codes are very specific, and aren’t going to bring up anything but results related to that exact engine and transmission. If all he wants to know is the displacement and number of gears, that search would be over very quickly.
It would actually have been worse for the description to vaguely say “4 cylinder”.

He said he’d rather not trade, which makes sense if he’s trying to downsize. I don’t really think it’s conflicting to not be in a hurry either, it’d be nice to downsize, but if you can’t get what you want for it you can take it with you. Some people have moving sales, some people rent a truck.
